From Barcelona to Auckland – and Jordi is right at home!

Jordi is no stranger to Johnson and Couzins but he is new to Auckland - and it feels like home already!

“I'm from Barcelona, the weather here, it's really close to my country! I love it.”

Jordi Salvador is the new Factory Manager at Johnson & Couzins’ Auckland factory and showroom.  He comes from J&C’s Christchurch factory, where he’s worked for the past five and a half years.

As Factory Manager, Jordi is responsible for all aspects of the J&C business around the Auckland region – from working with customers, to the factory team and installation crews.

Maintaining and creating relationships is something Jordi thrives at.

“The relationships that you build with the customers, with the team in the factory and the guys on the road - it's great to have.”

But the highlight of the job for Jordi is working with customers – and keeping them happy!

“A few weeks ago I went to visit a customer who I’d never met in person, even though we’d been emailing and texting for a couple of weeks. When I arrived he had breakfast ready and coffee for me. Now that must be a happy customer!”

He says doing a great job for genuine people like that gives him a sense of pride – and seeing how much customers appreciate what J&C can achieve for them is really rewarding.

As for the move North, Jordi says Auckland has a lot to offer.

“There’s heaps to do on weekends and holidays which is great for my family.”

Jordi’s family is joining him in Auckland in the near future. In the meantime, he’s immersing himself in the new job, finding his way around the city and creating lists of the places he wants to explore in his new home.
